Barrel ceiling with hand-painted adornments and glazed
1995 Indianapolis Monthly Dream Home. 225 24”x24” canvas panels were each hand-painted and individually adhered to the barrel ceiling. This is where math and geometry pays off if you paid attention in high-school:)
3 separate sections of canvas were painted to create this pattern that is adhered to a dome in a residential home’s bar. It was installed using a grapefruit to figure out the dissections, so they seamless fit together.
a 18’x24’ piece of canvas was used to create this gorgeous ceiling, Instead of painting directly on the ceiling, we painted it on a large piece of canvas and installed it, and it was not easy, it took 6 of us to hold and glue it in place
