Butler University

This mural, depicting the history of Butler university, was commissioned for the newly renovated, v.i.p. Lounge in the historic Hinkle Fieldhouse. . Painstakingly painting the panels of canvas in our studio allowed for the lengthly timeframe required to produce such a detailed depiction of the Schools history. Represented in these panels are over a hundred small portraits, including the school’s founder and other prominent figures. All three campuses including buildings, and some folklore. Recreations of illustrations done by students for the yearbooks are included. It’s all in there.

Each panel was designed to fit into the renovated space, above the wood paneled walls. The history is told in visual form creating a real sense of this universities founding and stages of growth since it’s founding for the donors and guests to enjoy during the big games.

Historic Hinkle Fieldhouse

This 4’x4’ painting of Butler University’s Fieldhouse was commissioned by a property management company for their conference room. Four other Indianapolis landmarks were included in this project.

Because this pot of flowers was painted on canvas, we were able to install this mural and paint the tray ceiling detail to look like a frame. The fan blades were painted to blend in.
