A Family Legacy of Artists — The Finch Edwards Creative Heritage
Art has never been a choice for us — it has always been a calling, and one that runs deep t through generations of our family. Our story truly begins with Ida Wall Finch, a gifted quilter and artist whose creativity and dedication set everything in motion. One of her magnificent hand-sewn Crazy quilts, with the date 1903 stitched lovingly into the fabric, stands as a testament to her artistry — made by hand while her baby son Charles slept peacefully by her side. That son, Charles Leon Finch, born in Colfax, Indiana, would grow up to carry that same creative spirit forward, passing it on to a family of artists that has never stopped creating. That passion was carried forward by our mother, Barbara Lee Finch Edwards, and our father, John William Edwards, and lives on today through Christopher Blice and Jon Edwards. The creative talent continues with brother William Edwards and nephew Ian Edwards. Together, we represent a rare and remarkable unbroken thread of artistic dedication spanning more than a century. We are currently curating a family gallery that will celebrate and preserve thesetreasured works — a collection that honors where we came from while sharing that legacy with the world. Select pieces will be made available as limited edition fine art prints, printed on demand when an order is placed, carefully shrink-wrapped, and shipped directly to your door. Our website is currently in development, and this exciting new gallery and print shop will be available very soon — we can't wait to share it with you. Stay tuned, and thank you for being part of this journey with us.
